Sean Yom is Associate Professor of Political Science at Temple University. He specializes in authoritarian regimes, economic development, and US foreign policy in the Arab world, particularly in the monarchies like Jordan and Kuwait. His publications include several current and forthcoming books, including From Resilience to Revolution: How Foreign Interventions Destabilize the Middle East (Columbia University Press, 2016) and The Political Science of the Middle East (Oxford University Press, 2022), as well as articles in journals like European Journal of International Relations, Comparative Political Studies, and Journal of Democracy.
