Governments around the world have exploited the coronavirus pandemic in order to centralize power, curtail individual freedoms, restrict journalism, stifle civil society and political opposition, and further marginalize minority populations. On Thursday, June 18, POMED and seven other human rights and democracy organizations will hold an event to shine a light on these concerning developments.
