In Yemen, the opposition and the Saleh regime grappled over a final decision on the GCC proposal outlining Saleh’s departure. Four Bahraini opposition figures were sentenced to death in a closed trial, while Fatah and Hamas agreed to a preliminary reconciliation agreement. This week, Congress will return to session after a two-week recess, and debates over the FY2012 budget will begin.
