Pakistan: Musharraf Returns

Owais Tahid reports in the Christian Science Monitor that former president and military commander Pervez Musharraf plans to return to Pakistan to lead a new political party called the All Pakistan Muslim League. Musharraf claims to have wide support among the young people in Pakistan, pointing to his 300,000 Facebook followers as proof. Musharraf may face criminal charges upon his return. The government-run Associated Press of Pakistan reports that cases have been filed against the former president, and according to one official, the law would “take it’s course” should Musharraf return to Pakistan.
