Morocco: Banned Paper Renamed

Middle East Online reports that the Moroccan newspaper Akhbar al Youm, which was shut down after publishing a cartoon related to a royal wedding in September, will reopen under the name Akhbar Al Youm Al Maghrabia. The editor and cartoonist had been given a four-year suspended sentence and fined $396,000 after the court ordered the “definitive closure” of the paper.
