While the Freedom Agenda and democracy promotion has come under scrutiny the past few years, new research recently published provides encouraging data about the development of young democracies- essentially that ones with turbulent births still have the potential to flourish with the proper policies and assistance. The new research is done by Ethan Kapstein, co-author of The Fate of Young Democracies.The report asserts that assistance to these younger democracies can in fact have a substantial impact to their success.
