New Research on the Success of Young Democracies

While the Freedom Agenda and democracy promotion has come under scrutiny the past few years, new research recently published provides encouraging data about the development of young democracies- essentially that ones with turbulent births still have the potential to flourish with the proper policies and assistance. The new research is done by Ethan Kapstein, co-author of The Fate of Young Democracies. The report asserts that assistance to these younger democracies can in fact have a substantial impact to their success.
