Succession Dilemmas Abound in Egypt

December 18th, 2008 by Jason

He notes the fissures being created within the government on the succession issue, as well as the displeasure of some military factions at the prospect of the president’s civilian son taking the reigns. Allen seconds those calling for the U.S. to push for a loosening of the process for licensing political parties, as well as the reinstatement of the two-term presidential limit.
